The Everlane Day Glove Review

The Everlane Day Glove shoes are easily in my top 5 most worn pairs of shoes. In fact, I love them so much I got them in 3 different colors.

I have to be honest, and first tell you that I didn’t get what all the hype was about. “What’s so great about these shoes? They just look like regular flats.” Then one day, after working with Everlane for a while, I had the opportunity to receive them as a gift and then I realized why everyone loves them.

The one thing I had been missing in my wardrobe, without even knowing it, was a shoe that was somewhere between a sneaker and a sandal. A shoe that was closed toed, that I didn’t have to wear socks with.

Once I owned this pair I continuously began reaching for them on the regular. Going to the store to run an errand? Day Gloves. Going to be on my feet all day thrifting and need a pair of shoes that slips on and off easily? Day Gloves. Need a cute shoe that doesn’t look like I’m trying too hard? Day Gloves.

And so my addiction began…

I first owned the color Brick in a size 7 which was my usual size. They fit great and were super comfortable. The leather was super soft and buttery and broke in nicely, but I did noticed that my toe was beginning to cause a raised bump at the end of the shoe. It’s not super noticeable, but I didn’t care for how it looked.

Enter my Black Day Gloves. I miraculously thrifted this pair for $3 while I was in New Orleans! Watch the video here. They were a half size bigger than my other pair. It turns out the 7.5 fit great and almost exactly like the 7 but with a tad extra toe room, so my toe didn't cause a raised bump at the end. It might be worth sizing up a half size if you’re thinking about trying them.

I can’t even tell you how elated I was to find this pair at a thrift store for only $3!

After owning and loving both my precious Day Gloves for about 6+ months, I worked with Everlane again and was able to snag one of their latest colors the Harvest Orange in a campaign I did with them in February. This pair is so much fun! I am all about colorful dressing, and sometimes a pop of color on a shoe or bag is all you need to add that extra bit of personality to your outfit.
